Dry grasses crunched under delicate tiny hooves, the tall golden stems bending and giving way to the agile little body slowly making its way towards a clear patch in the middle of the Savannah. It was terribly hot, the sun hung high in a cloudless expanse of blue, leaving little escape from its piercing rays. It was miserable out here, nothing like the cool spring air he was used to during this time of the year. A tail flicked, a black nose lifted to the air, a look of defiance flickered across dark brown eyes.
